Refund policy


At Ai-Rides LLC we are committed to providing our customers with high-quality products and services. We understand that sometimes returns may be necessary, but we have a strict policy in place to protect both our business and our customers.

All in-store sales are final for any product containing a battery. Once any personal electric vehicle (ebike, escooter, euc, etc.) leaves the showroom (1215 Spofford Avenue, Building 1A, Suite 1, Bronx, NY 10474) we will not accept any returns. In the event of a warranty issue with a product purchased at Ai-Rides NYC or through ai-rides.com, Ai-Rides will work with the customer and the manufacturer to repair the PEV.

We charge a 3.5% credit card processing fee on all regularly processed online orders prior to shipping. There is a 6% processing on orders processed through financing options. These are not refundable. 

If you cancel your order after processing has begun, a 10% restocking fee may be applied in addition to the 3.5% processing fee. This is why it’s important to notify us right away if any changes or cancellations are needed.

As a small business, cancellations are costly between time, credit card fees and shipping. We try to avoid these fees, but they are necessary to cover the resources involved.

All returns for products purchased online must be made within 7 days of the purchase date, and the item must be in its original packaging and unused condition. You'll also need a receipt or proof of purchase. We do not accept returns for used, damaged, or customized products.

Customers are responsible for all shipping and handling fees associated with the return, and we recommend using a shipping method that includes tracking and insurance. If the return is due to an issue with the product immediately upon arrival, we will cover any shipping or handling fees associated with returning the product to us and sending a replacement product to the customer. Once used, products are not eligible for return. In the case of a defective or damaged product, we offer a warranty period for our customers. Before shipping out or fulfilling your order at our store, we always perform quality assurance checks for function and damage. Once your new vehicle arrives, inspect it. Damage may occur during shipping and should be reported immediately. If you receive a product that is defective or damaged, please contact our customer service team immediately to initiate a warranty claim. Our warranty covers defects in electronic components and, in some cases, materials and workmanship. We will repair or replace the defective product at our discretion. The warranty period and terms vary depending on the product or service. Please note that our warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, or unauthorized repairs or modifications to the product. If we determine that the damage is not covered by our warranty, we will provide a quote for repair or replacement of the product, and the customer will be responsible for any associated costs.

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 7-10 business days after we receive the returned item. We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet our strict guidelines, and in those cases, the customer will not be eligible for a refund.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, or damaged, or if you receive the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as apparel, special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.


Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.


Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Zero Return Policy for Third-Party Accessories


At Ai-Rides NYC PEV Sales and Service Center, certain items ordered specifically for a customer’s vehicle—including but not limited to accessories, parts, or modifications sourced from third-party suppliers—are classified as final sale and are non-returnable.


This policy applies to:


  • Accessories or components purchased specifically for a customer’s vehicle customization
  • Items specially ordered or sourced from third parties at the customer’s request
  • Any payment or invoice applied toward such orders



Why This Policy Exists:

These items are procured uniquely to fulfill a custom request or match a specific build, and as such, may not be eligible to be restocked, resold, or reused. For this reason, payments toward these items are non-refundable, and returns will not be accepted under any circumstances once an order is placed or processed.


Customer Acknowledgment:

By placing an order or submitting payment for third-party accessories or custom vehicle parts, you acknowledge and agree to this zero return policy.
